Jamal Abdulla Lootah

Founder & Chairman

Jamal Abdulla Lootah is a pioneering leader in the UAE’s real estate and facilities management sectors, renowned for integrating facilities management services with real estate operations to support landmark Dubai projects such as Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah.

He is the co-founder and President of the Middle East Facilities Management Association (MEFMA), a non-profit association supported by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), and has led the growth of organisations including J.S. Lootah Group and Imdaad Group, with businesses spanning real estate, property management, food & beverage, and integrated facilities and environmental management. He founded JL Investments and Ideal Homes, with a focus on customer-centric real estate services.

A long-standing champion of sustainability and the UAE Green Agenda, he has driven investment in new technology and green innovation. Under his leadership, his organisations have served clients including Nakheel’s The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Municipality, Al Maktoum International Airport, Emaar Properties’ Burj Khalifa and Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Career and education

Jamal began his career with Dubai Ports Authority and later served as Director of Human Resources and General Administration at Dubai World. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of London and has attended Harvard Business School’s executive programme, the Corporate Advanced Programme at IMD Switzerland, and the Dubai Leaders Programme, run with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

His leadership philosophy is inspired by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s “Be Number One” vision, with a focus on sustainability, innovation and developing talent.
